Part 1 – What Is Thrive 2050 & Why You Should Care

Thrive Montgomery 2050 is a General Plan, addressing land use policy for the entire county. The first implementation will be by Zoning Text Amendments (ZTAs) to increase density by changing residential zoning. The change will allow market-rate duplexes, triplexes, and quadplexes to be built in single-family neighborhoods, by right. That means residents will no longer have a say in what is being built in their communities! Most county residents
